One Tear I Cried

 

One tear I cried when I realized I did not have a father

To love me, to hold me, to teach me how to be a man

One tear I cried within


One tear I cried when abandoned early by my mother

She robbed me of her heart of wisdom

And the warmth of her embrace

One tear rolled down my face

One tear I cried when I had thoughts of wishing that I died

To escape from all this pain that was just killing me inside

One tear I cried alive

One tear I cried abused by one, when I was just a child

My innocence now turned to rage, Emotions ripped apart

One tear cried in my heart

One tear I cried when ridiculed

Teased and labeled as a fool

Rarely ever fitting in and never viewed as cool

On tear I cried in school

The tears I’ve cried through many years have taught me to be wise

To love and nourish those in need and help them to survive

Trials transformed my soul into an empathetic friend

One who truly understands those tears YOU cry within
